A beautiful set of three vintage railroad collector plates featuring the artwork of renowned railroad artist David Tutwiler from The Hamilton Collection’s Romance of the Rails series.

Each plate captures a different historic passenger train in Tutwiler’s richly colored railroad landscapes.

This three-plate set includes:

Starlight Limited — a dramatic streamlined locomotive arriving at a station beneath a deep blue evening sky.

Sunset Limited — a steam locomotive traveling through a Southwestern desert landscape at sunset.

Blue Bonnet — a powerful steam locomotive crossing an open landscape filled with bluebonnet flowers.

All three were issued in 1994 as part of the Romance of the Rails Plate Collection. Collector references document the series as limited to 28 firing days.
