JMR’s Worlds was created from my love of handmade craftsmanship, rustic décor, and giving forgotten pieces a new life. What began as a creative outlet grew into a small business centered around unique, one-of-a-kind décor designed to bring warmth and character into a home.
Before launching JMR’s Worlds, I spent more than 25 years working as a litigation paralegal and licensed claims adjuster. My career required strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to carefully manage important information and evidence. I regularly prepared case materials and created presentations for mediations and trials, where precision and presentation mattered. Those same values now guide every piece I create today.
Creativity has always been part of my life. Growing up, I loved making things and spent many years crafting before life and career responsibilities became busy. Later, when I became involved with the Blue Star Mothers organization—both at the city chapter level and serving on the national board—I once again found myself creating. For five years, alongside my work as a paralegal, I designed and crafted items to sell, wear, and promote the organization’s mission.
Today, that lifelong love of creating has come full circle through JMR’s Worlds.
Many of my pieces begin with vintage or thrifted items that I carefully restore and transform. I enjoy working with layered textures, soft neutral palettes, crackle finishes, antique wax, and decoupage techniques that create a timeless farmhouse and primitive style. Each item is handcrafted and slightly different, making every piece truly unique.
JMR’s Worlds is about more than décor—it is about creating pieces that bring warmth, character, and a personal story into a home. Whether it is seasonal décor, meaningful wall art, or rustic statement pieces, my goal is to create something that makes people smile when they see it displayed in their space.
Photography used within my listings helps present the finished pieces and allows customers to better visualize how the décor may look in their own homes.
